Britt Ekland, who played Sir Roger Moore’s love interest in The Man With The Golden Gun has revealed that Ursula Andress inspired her to become a Bond girl. At an event in London to mark the 50th anniversary of 007’s adventures on the big screen, the 69-year-old Swedish actress said she saw Andress’s famous bikini scene in Dr. No and thought, “I want to do that”. Ms Ekland was also full or praise for the current James Bond, Daniel Craig: “I think he is a very good Bond, he is a very modern Bond.”
OK, maybe, but Sean Connery was far and away the best movie version of James Bond, and, most likely, he always will be.
